In our busy lives, emotions are often ignored or suppressed, yet they are powerful indicators. Emotions show us what is truly important for each of us and help us find the path to personal fulfilment. However, when we do not express these emotions, they become stored in our bodies, leading to blockages and tension.
As a bodywork practitioner, I believe that emotions are not just mental experiences but also physically felt. They become trapped in our bodies when we do not allow them to flow. Through psychosomatic therapy, also known as bodywork, we can release this energy and regain balance. Bodywork is also an effective form of trauma therapy as it helps to resolve deeply rooted emotional blockages.
Emotions as catalysts
Emotions are signals that tell us what we need and which path our soul wants to take. They act as a catalyst: for example, anger indicates that our boundaries have been crossed, while sadness invites us to process loss. When we ignore these emotions, they accumulate in our bodies, which can lead to a feeling of being stuck.
Bodywork offers a safe and effective way to release these stored emotions. Through movement, breathing, and awareness, you can free the stagnant energy in your body, allowing you to regain physical and emotional balance.

What is bodywork?
Bodywork is an umbrella term for techniques aimed at (de)activating the body and releasing tension and emotions. The goal is to reconnect the body and mind, enabling emotions and life energy to flow, so you feel lighter and freer. It works not only on a physical level but also helps to heal deeper emotional layers.
In my therapy room, I provide a safe space where your emotions are fully welcome. Here, they can be seen, felt, and processed. You are supported in an environment where you can release what you are still holding onto, without judgment.
Examples of bodywork
Here are some simple exercises you can try at home to free your emotions:
1. Stamping with bare feet
Stand on the ground, for example, in grass or sand, and stamp powerfully with your feet. Feel the energy flowing from your legs through your body and how you release tension. This movement helps to let go of anger and frustration while grounding you.
2. Slowly sinking into a deep knee bend
Gradually lower yourself to the ground by bending your knees, while taking deep breaths. Imagine releasing emotional tension with every movement. This exercise is particularly effective for relieving tension in your lower back and hips, areas where emotions are often held.
3. Flowing Movement Meditation
Move freely and without a fixed structure. Allow your body to be guided by what feels good. This form of free movement helps release stagnant energy and express your emotions creatively. Playing music can assist in getting out of your head.
Honour your emotions with bodywork
If you find yourself feeling stuck, either physically or emotionally, bodywork can help you regain balance. In a safe and nurturing space, I guide you to explore and release. Together, we work towards restoring the balance between your body, mind, and emotions.
With sincere gratitude, I’m there to hold space for you.
